When is it a good idea to use the 249.8 °F sterilization program?
The sterilization program at the so-called lower temperature (249.8 °F) is designed for more delicate instruments that may be damaged at standard temperatures (273.2 °F). It is a particularly useful option for materials that are more sensitive to high temperatures, such as some plastic parts that are resistant to autoclaving.
This program is used for sterilization of dental or cosmetic tools - for example, for microdermabrasion needles, in the PMU and Tattoo industries or also sometimes in the cosmetic industry (e.g. sterilization of toothbrushes)
